Featured Product - Analysis & Assesments

Since the future of your organization is often enhanced or limited by your network technology, Able Information Technologies offers analysis and assessments in all areas:

Network
Security
Cabling
Network Traffic
Common Vulnerability
Wireless

We’ll help you locate weaknesses and determine improvements that will ultimately fortify the stability of your network and increase the confidence of your customers.

Cyber Security
Today’s networks face more risks than ever before. Hackers, viruses, worms and sabotage are real threats that managers are better off handling proactively than reactively. When we perform a cyber analysis for your organization we look at.

Data Integrity – We’ll analyze your current monitoring capabilities to determine if your data is adequately protected from internal and external threats.

Confidentiality – Firewall penetration testing and analysis is key to protecting your organization. Yet organizations require wide area access to it’s network to allow people to safely access information from the Internet. Able Information Technologies can help you set up virtual private networks and encryption capabilities. We can also analyze your wireless access to make sure that it is encrypted and secure.

Availability – Redundancy is a vital element to a healthy network. You’ll know exactly how vulnerable or safe you are when we look at your organization’s built-in redundancy and determine how robust your network is in case of attack.

Network Analysis and Assessments
Customers with a plan to grow their company think about the future in terms of short-term and long-term goals. Optimizing your network for maximum performance is crucial for efficiency. Knowing where your weak links are and what poses a potential threat to your organization’s ability to operate is necessary to be competitive.

Able Information Technologies looks at network analysis and assessment as a great step in getting to know you as an organization. As your partner we build strategic relationship -- all of which starts with understanding your organization, its goals and your network’s capabilities. We help identify threats, discover inefficiencies and help you make decisions that prepare your network and your organization for the future.

Proactive organizations appreciate Able’s network analysis and assessment services. Able specializes in short- and long-term technology planning. As your strategic partner, we encourage customers to plan for success. That planning includes preparing for technology investments that are designed to help your organization experience results – today and tomorrow. Able uses a network assessment process that asks you to think long and hard about your business goals.

In today’s competitive environment technology investments expenses are necessary to grow your business. A long-term plan ensures that you won’t be asking – “why didn’t we budget for this?” Learning the hard way throws off budgets and puts organizations in turmoil. Able can help you avoid all that with a Network Assessment and Technology Replacement Plan that includes:

A Short- and Long-Term Replacement Schedule
Technology Improvement Recommendations that address: budgeting and technology upgrades and replacements.
A Growth and Expansion Plan – have a plan on how many people will be added to your staff. What technology will be needed to allow your organization to grow?
Budget Planning
Network and Security Assessments
Bandwidth and Traffic Assessment --we’ll look at your current bandwidth and determine if it is sufficient to accommodate for your organization’s projected growth.

Security Assessment and Analysis

A Security Assessment and Analysis includes a full network security audit that addresses:

Open, vulnerable TCP/UDP ports in external IP addresses, such as unprotected servers or firewall openings that should be closed
Unnecessary or vulnerable services running on servers and workstations
Firewall rule sets that either do not enforce the Security Policy or 'null' each other out to form a security issue
Accessibility of data ports to the intruders
Accessibility of wireless networks, if any, to outside intruders
Vulnerability of password policies
Network traces from various points in the network to get an idea of existing traffic (commonly called benchmarking)
Attempts to access data from protected sources using common techniques and/or tools available to the general public.
Attempts to compromise network equipment and gain control of essential network elements

Wireless Assessment and Analysis

Wireless assessment and analysis includes:
Equipment and capabilities review
Determining throughput for Internet services and connections between multiple locations
Identifying bottlenecks and slow downs
Determining which applications are taking too much bandwidth
Virtual Assessment with topographical mapping
Line of Sight Assessment
Final recommendations

Able, Inc. Teams with Xiotech to Expand
Network Storage Solutions

New Partnership Offers Award Winning Data Storage to Arizona Technology Market

(January 19, 2007, Chandler, AZ) – Able Information Technologies, Inc. announced today that they have partnered with Xiotech Corporation to add storage area network (SAN) systems to their end-to-end technology solution set targeted for organizations and companies in the state of Arizona. SAN systems allow centralized control of storage resource allocation for all kinds of data, adding flexibility, scalability and ease of use to data management.

With this partnership Able will resell Xiotech’s Magnitude 3D 3000 series and Magnitude 750 storage systems, providing organizations with the ability to select the storage system and functionality that best meets their business demands. The Xiotech systems provide easy-to-manage, flexible and cost effective storage, while ensuring high data performance and reliability.

“SAN storage expands the possibilities for network integration in new and exciting ways, allowing us to respond to our customers’ needs with innovative solutions,” said Brandon Ames, President and CEO of Able.

As an example, Mr. Ames cited the growing number of video surveillance systems installed in school districts to help deal with concerns about security. With the cameras feeding data directly to a SAN, school administrators have an almost unlimited amount of readily accessible and easily searchable information. “SAN systems take up a lot less space than a year’s worth of video tapes,” said Mr. Ames, “and the data won’t degrade over time.”

Xiotech proposed the VAR opportunity to Able last November. “We were looking for a responsive, qualified, customer-oriented technology company to service our existing customers and help us better reach customers in the Arizona market facing storage management challenges,” stated Ron Quarles, Western Area Channel Manager for Xiotech. “With this partnership, together we'll be able to better reach organizations in this key market and bring them the technology solutions and services their businesses demand.”

Able Information Technologies, Inc Ranked Among Top 10
by Arizona Business Magazine

Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Business Ranks Able Information Technologies at #6 in Manufacturing/Technology, High Technology Company Category

Arizona Business Magazine – Ranking Arizona placed Able Information Technologies as sixth in their genre in the largest business opinion poll in Arizona. More than 125 businesses competed in the High Technology category of the Manufacturing/Technology group.

Ranking Arizona is an annual feature of the Arizona Business Magazine summarizing the results of a survey of Arizona’s business professionals. Each category is selected by the staff of the magazine; questions focus on quality of products and services and recommendations for repeat business. By being voted into the top 10 in their category, Able qualifies to be in the Arizona Business Magazine that comes out in February of 2007.

“It’s refreshing to see an award that’s based on the quality of products and services, rather than revenue or number of employees,” said Brandon Ames CEO and Owner. “At Able, we focus on our customers and the way they want to interact and use technology. That sets us apart from our competition.”

Welcome to BlogABLE!

If you’ve checked out our AZeRate blog, you know that the posts there are sometimes rather long and detailed; the focus of the blog is the federal eRate grant program and tips on how to wade through the process and maximize your results. It’s government work – it’s bound to be a bit red-tape-ish.

We have different plans for BlogABLE.

Our goal with BlogABLE is to share insights on new and/or more effective ways to implement technology. We will offer quick tips and direct answers to your questions, along with notes on featured products and upcoming events. We will share stories about things that are happening in the field, and spotlight customers who have achieved great results with new systems.

In short (which is, after all, a preferred trait of blogs), we want BlogABLE to be a reference resource for you, and we encourage your questions and comments. Let us know what you want to see, and we’ll do our best to serve it up.

Come back and see us often!
